A comic about how are we conditioned From the moment we take our first breath, we find ourselves immersed in a world filled with the thoughts and beliefs of those around us. Our brains eagerly absorb these notions, weaving them into the fabric of our consciousness and ultimately shaping our own conclusions. Yet, this phenomenon raises a profound question: do ideas truly originate from within, or are they merely the byproducts of our environmental conditioning? According to the philosophical musings of Plato, ideas exist in an intelligible world, a mystical realm where they are not the exclusive property of individuals but instead reside within an invisible and intangible space. This thought-provoking concept prompts us to ponder: do ideas emanate from an ethereal source, or are they products of our conditioning? And if they are indeed products of conditioning, can we break free from these mental constraints and foster new perspectives? Works of fiction such as Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" grapple with these existential questions. In this dystopian narrative, society is meticulously conditioned from birth, seemingly functioning flawlessly. However, as we delve deeper into the lives of the characters, we uncover the profound psychological effects of this conditioning. This project delves into the intricate web of conditioning and endeavors to address the overarching query: "Can we liberate ourselves from our conditioning?" The response to this query is multifaceted. Once an individual becomes ensnared in the grip of conditioning, it becomes arduous to perceive beyond their established perspectives. External influences subtly mold their thoughts, often steering them away from independent reasoning. Nevertheless, some individuals, ensconced in the comfort of their conditioned beliefs, may deliberately disregard these influences, choosing instead to remain entrenched in their familiar viewpoints. In conclusion, conditioning can be both an unconscious imprisonment and a conscious choice. The decision ultimately rests with each of us.
